Gunung Mulu National Park, Sarawak

Named after the wooden steamship S.S. California, which wrecked off the coast in 1891, the lighthouse was built in the early 1900s to alert future ships to the dangers of the reef. Completely renovated in 2016, it now allows visitors to safely climb the 117 stairs to the top for stunning panoramic views, making it one of Aruba's top tourist attractions.

While most island tours include a stop here, it’s also easily accessible by car or taxi, located just beyond the high-rise hotel area of Palm Beach on the north coast.

Recent visitors praise the breathtaking views from the top but caution that the spiral staircase is quite narrow and may not be suitable for those who are claustrophobic. They also mention that the climb can be moderately strenuous
