De Palm Island

You might wonder why anyone would travel to another island for sun and sea when you’re already on one that offers plenty. However, De Palm Island is more like a standalone amusement water park and activity hub, featuring many experiences that are unique to Aruba.

Activities include a kids’ water park, thrilling water slides, a beach with loungers and umbrellas, banana boat rides, and snorkeling, among other options. For an additional fee, you can also rent SNUBA and SeaTREK gear.

The island is home to two small flocks of flamingos. However, if you’re hoping for flamingo selfies, this isn't the place for that. The birds are protected behind a fence on their own beach area and are not available for interaction. Guests with VIP premium tickets or deluxe cabana rentals (at extra cost) on a separate beach do have a flock that roams freely among them, but this area has an age restriction—visitors must be at least 11 years old.
